Where can I get the best deal on the kind of hats that Fred Bear or Art Young wore?

A thrift shop.  There are a lot of them to be had.  If you want a new one of any quality, expect to pay for them.  Noggin Tops is a well respected vendor.

I just bought a Fedora from these folks. They have tons of other hats too including the old paper boy hats (apple pie hat). Depending on your size and wants you can find some closeout bargains too.

Noggin Tops has very high quality hats.  Pricey, but worth it.  The thrift shop/ garage sale suggestion is great if you can find what you like there.

This is going to sound funny but Cracker Barrel Resturant sells wool fedoras for a really good price. I've bought 2 from there.

Whew, Tex he's proud of his whips....  Most of the feed stores and tack shops around here have them... You can get a whip for a C-note or there abouts, BUT it won't be an original "Jones" whip.

Ron, maybe a length of chain would work, wear it around your neck as you cruise on your Harley!
You'd make Indiana Jones tip his noggintop and back away, LOL........

I had always wanted to trap Martins on a pole set like the old time NorthWest trappers did. By wiring     a piece of bait (rabbit) on the pole and putting a # 1 1/2 trap on a nail so when the Martin runs up the pole to get the bait, he's in the trap which then comes off the nail. Works slick as you please.

Now back to the subject, "Old style hats"
