finally a maine moose permit
« on: June 13, 2008, 01:24:00 PM »
We I thought it would never take place, but I got drawn in the maine moose lottery last night.  It has only been 16 years.  I can not wait to try to take a moose with my bow!

Sweet! I'm officially 0/10 now, but that's the best fishing of the year and there's always Expanded Archery season.

Congrats on drawing the tag. I thought that I had it tough waiting 3 years to draw a Kansas whitetail tag..LOL

Good luck and let us know how the season goes.

Just got picked for the 3rd time(sorry). I got the Nov. season for either sex in zone 23 ,East of Augusta. This is a tough time and place to bowhunt because of all the firearm deer hunters in the woods, the good news is I have most of the month to hunt compared to 1 week each of the Sept. & Oct. seasons.
were it worth the trouble? Huh? What trouble?

Congratulations!  I'm 0 for 10 years and when I just checked how few out of state licenses they gave out compared to in state I have to rethink if I want to continue the Maine lottery.

I'll second that motion for New Hampshire,I live close to the border and I always put in for their drawing, haven't been drawn yet but according to their info the odds of a non-resident being drawn in NH are the same as a resident being drawn in ME

Dan, Congratulations!! Good to hear you got a tag. You're right, that's a tough area compared to up north, but it's better than not getting one, lol.
