Was looking over his site and wanting to know if anyone has one of his unfinished bows. What do you think of it? Quality, smoothness, quiet,
accuracy, you know the usual questions.

I don't know about his bow blanks, but I've heard nothing but good things about his bows. I have one of the 68" longbows on it's way now. 4 lams of bamboo, should be very smooth and quick.

I have one of his finished bows and just bought another one that is being sent. Mikes bows are very forgiving and quiet. I can shoot a wide spine range with great arrow flight. I paper tuned a bunch of bows and the 7 Lakes was the easiest/most forgiving of the bunch. If you give Mike a call he will anser any questions. The bow I'm shooting in my avatar is a 7 Lakes.

I didn't know if he was making finished bows his website didn't have any info about them, so just thought blanks was it.

Bob knows, those bows are sweet, I owned the one in his avatar at one time. I would love it back, very quick for a mild R/D and pretty much silent at the shot. Best LB I have ever owned. I killed one small buck with that bow, so I was one for one with it. Shawn

Great bows (as mentioned above  :)  )

Easy to finish and a smooth, quiet, killin' machine...

I finished a "Long Night" and a "Short Night".  The blanks are completely roughed out and fool proof.  Maybe someone out there has less wood working experience than I but I doubt it and mine turned out just fine.

My 7 Lakes just arrived. It's 68" 58@28 with a black diamondwood riser, 4 lams of bamboo and black 'glass.

Pretty Plain Jane looks, but I just had to take a selection of arrows out in the rain and see how it shot. It's smooth and very quiet, and it shot a wide range of spines all to the same impact point @ 15yds.

I fed it 50-55, 55-60, 60-65 POC's and even Cabela's Stalker Extreme 55-70 carbons with 250gr up front. It shot them all into one 5" group, even with the wide range of arrows. The looks are pretty plain, but the performance is very good. I have a few longbows that cost 2-3x as much, but none that shoot any better.

Now, I just might have to get a blank from them and try my hand at making one.
