Just got my tag...gmu 4 help please!
« on: June 15, 2008, 12:24:00 AM »
just got my unit 4,5,441 elk tag in the mail for Colorado. This is a totally new spot for me and I am hoping sombody might have a good starting point or some info. I usually hunt GMU 15,26 but times seem to be getting a little lean in those areas for elk so I decided to give a new area a try. I hear that the bears ears area is good but, receives a lot of pressure. I am willing to hike in a few miles to set up a spike camp a little backpacking never hurt anyone!lol Would really appreciate any info on the units that anyone is willing to share!! Just looking to find any area that has not been over pressured and has some great scener.! After all it's about the hunt not the kill!! Thanks a lot guys

I have not hunted those units but a call to the local DOW office is good place to start.
