Normaly you can't go with a car, it's forbiden.

But the sheperd is a friend and i'm helping him time to time to bring heavy things in this place

During the winter it's can be a lot of snow ...

That's some fine looking protein there too I might add.   Great to hear experiences from our European brothers.  Thanks.

EFOC w/ carbons kinda required screw in adapters for BH's...till I found on Kustom King these nifty brass inserts like I now use...but these take it one step farther...they are a unitized brass insert with a glue on 5 degree bevel.

75 gr fits the 5/16" ferrule and the 100 and 125 fit the 11/32" ferrule, according to an email reply to that question to Kustom King.

Those danged li'l aluminum bh adapters always freaked me out...they seem to vary in size and weight a LOT... and they offer a weak link on a strong, bone cutting broadhead... I wonder if the solid brass insert w/ bh adapter as a unit will help?

Doc Nock,

Looks like a strong system. I have one question though, would you need to use glue-on target points (of same or similar weight) for practice? I'm not real big on day-to-day practice with broadheads but want to use an arrow with as close to the same weight as my hunting arrows. I do practice with the broadhead arrows, but not all the time, every day.

What do ya think?

Keith,

Ya can't catch fish sleepin!   :knothead:    :D

(ya'd have to check his profile to know)

I hear ya. I'm currently using 100 gr. brass threaded inserts and screw in heads...

After finding those on KK, I kinda got to thinkin... I might have the threaded 100 gr. brass insert for practice to use the screw in field points...and then have those set ups for my hunting arrows w/ broadheads...???

Just toyin and love to get opinions...but don't want to hijack the thread... just thought it sorta added to

...but to your pointed question, you could use glue on practice points... My situation requires 160 practice and so far, I can't find em anywhere...so I use 145 and 3 5gr. brass washers... so I'd have to keep that up, huh cause I've not found glue on 160's either!?

Doc Nock,

That was just a nap due to being worn out from catching them all!

Your idea sounds good. I believe that Dr. Ashby said that the broadhead to arrow connection was a weak spot in the arrow. I don't see why you couldn't figure a way to use glue-ons with some added weight some how for parity. I commonly use the screw in addaptors for broadheads. I really like the Ace heads. I get the 125 grn. heads and use a sturdy 50 grn. addaptor, for a total weight of 175. I have a long draw and use full length arrows with 5 inch or sometimes 5&1/2 inch shield cuts. These fly really well for me in several bow setups. Good luck with the experiment and try and have fun now..OK?
