I've got some nocks that I feel are gripping my string a little too tight and I want to loosen them some. I used a fingernail file to remove a little. Is there a better way? Can you dip the nock in hot water and spread it open some? Thanks for any advice.

Hot water 10-15 sec, put it on and of your string a few times. Nocks are made of thermo plastic.

Doesn't take much heat to get them pliable, either!

Thanks, I've always used classic index nocks with no problems. I bought a few pre-fab aluminum arrows and they had snap fit nocks. I'll try warming them a little and see if things get better. Thanks again. Drew

Andy:
Heating or filing nocks is an accident looking for a place to happen. Don't be so cheep cut the old ones off and replace with classic's or re-serve the string with smaller dia. serving.

Bob, You're right, the quickest and safest thing to do is to just switch nocks. Thanks.
