As far as grips go, JD does make a signature grip too. Its the grip on the bottom bow pictured. It has the overlays on bottom. I like that grip better personally. Two of my own bows are the bulge type grip. I had JD custom form them by flattening the back of the grip for me. They still have the bulge in the sides for hand placement. They are all good.
Jashu, I'm shooting the same Gold Tip carbons through all four of my recurves.  They push down my scale at 401 grains.  Talk about smokin.  I wish I had a chrono.

I'm shooting 540gr carbons outta my 56" recurve. I don't have a crony, but they swing the heck out of a bag target. I can only shoot one arrow and then pull, tried to shoot groups of three and busted one from the side    :banghead:

I have been shooting an 1969 Bear Super Kodiak (I have a thing for Grayling Bears)I just had refinished with 550 grain aluminums. This bow is #55. Its pretty quick. After a while with that I picked up the #50, 56" Mojo prototype with 425 grain carbons. GOOD LORD! thats an eye opener. I was used to seeing the slower arrow and its a snap back to reality with a carbon and a 56" whisperstik. I dont remember seeing the first arrow in flight. Flat out blisterin'

I have an idea for a new 56" JD and I have been talking about. If JD can get the components we need, it will be......amazing.......

TJ,
Beautiful bow!
I really like that grip!
Now if you can help me convince my wife we don't really need a new roof, or dishwasher, or tires on my truck... I can order one just like it!
Enjoy!

I Chonoed my 43# @ 29" with a 435 gr arrow it is at 184 fps, and I have another whisperstik, that I am waiting for JD to finish up.

So if you have to order one, go ahead, it only hurts for the first five seconds after you hang up the phone !   :goldtooth:

And when you get it in your hand, and shoot it for the first time you're overwhelmed joy !

The whisperstik is the quietest bow I've ever had.

When u guys say J.D. is that J.D. Emerson from ancient spirits. If so, then I live about 10 minutes from the shop where he makes the bows.

Check out his website..it's in the sponsor list above.
Recurves start at 475.00 I think, then the options add to that.
That's JD LUND of WhisperStik bows. Really nice guy to talk to.

My second whisperstik has Honduras Rosewood in the riser, bamboo core lambs, at least that's what I think.  I haven't gotten the e-mail yet that JD sends out to tell you that it's on the way.  But I'm looking forward to that e mail,  But as you can see, he is a busy man, that's because he is also a talented bow maker.  The best thing I like about JD, he is down to earth, his bows haven't gone to his head, he talks to you just like as if he has known you for years, and you are his best friend.  He is a great person to work with when getting a new bow.  I don't think he is one of the " up and coming" bow makers, I think he is one of the top-notch bow makers in the nation.

I could be a little biased, but any time you can take one his bows, any of them, and shoot it like you've shot it for years, from the very first time, that shows he has talent, and he extends it into his bows.  Cool

And any time somebody is in the area shoot me a PM, and you can shoot my whisperstik's and you will see the difference.
