Stalking with my new to me Centaur
« on: June 24, 2008, 08:53:00 PM »
After a long day at work today I decided to take my Centaur out for a walk through the field. I didn't even have to get out of the yard and I saw a groundhog on the edge of the field. Taking a knee to decrease my profile, I waited for him to work his way out of the tall grass. Time passed slowly as I watched him work the edge, in and out, but never really offering me a shot. Finally he got to a depression in the tall grass and started feeding in earnest. Again a problem, as I watched him feed, he had moved away from me. With nowhere to move without getting busted, I knew it was going to be a long shot or nothing. I've been shooting this Centaur better than any trad bow I ever shot, so when he stood up to eat off a vine, I bore down and cut one off at him. I'm beginning to think that this used bow came with mojo already installed!

Sutto- Swampbuck guessed it right. That's the new NAP Razorback. They were popular with the compound guys a long time ago. The gimmick was that the blades spin on the ferrule. Lately they redesigned the head profile, but the blades still rotate. Gander Mtn. was blowing them out the other week and for 17 bucks a pack, I could check them out and at least shoot them at whistlepigs!
