I swear on my ShrewHaven decoder ring....
« on: February 19, 2007, 05:39:00 PM »
..that the following is absolutely true:

My wife and I were driving down my favorite dirt road today, near my super secret turkey spot. My phone rang, and caller id said it was Gregg Coffey, Shrew Bowyer Extrordinaire. I didn't answer it, knowing he would want to tell me how sweet my Little Favorite came out, what with Lori sitting right next to me in the cab of the truck and all...you brothers of the "Bow Sneak" know what I mean..

So there I was, NOT answering the phone to hear my new turkey bow was fininshed, when I snapped this picture...not 200 yards from my favorite calling spot:

The turkeys have been out in full attack mode on the corn fields near me too. Yeah I would let her have the purse, or sleep with one eye open!
Just one more step please!

Roger,

Holy crap, I just left a message on your home phone asking if your new bow was done!!  :scared:

OK, seriously Roger, you have to come clean with the rest of the gang here. You're totally leaving out the fact that you took Lori to this sweet exotic island get-a-way last summer with your very own cabana boy servant, extraordinary view, exotic food and relaxing spa, ect. ect. The chick trip that most wives dream about.

You're golden for AT LEAST a bow or two with that kind of sucking up. Let me test my theory, I'll call, you don't answer and let me ask Lori innocently if your new bow arrived today.

I just hope Norm Johnson does not call while I am at work about the Blacktail I ordered on the sneak  :scared:  If he does I am dead meat and I still have to finish paying for it.  :bigsmyl:

Ray, she thinks that trip was PAYBACK for all of the other bows, November disapearences, etc...wait a minute, that is the PERFECT side business for you: Marriage Acountant!! You can keep a ledger, you know like, "1 trip to St Lucia = 3 bows, 1 flintlock, and 10 days in November".

You are HIRED, Brother!

If that doesn't work, I'll  send Basil Hayden to all my pals, just to keep their Bourbon-Holes shut!   :bigsmyl:

Don't worry Roger, I'll just keep the bow.  I need one anyway, and then you won't have to worry.    :smileystooges:

Roger,

Start packaging, because no matter how the accountant presents the figures, it just doesn't add up in the spouses eyes.   :readit:

Steve O - although you are one of the good guys, youaint gettin my bow!   :p

SeekingTradDeer - aint that the truth! They are spooky as heck, too, like they have been shot at from the road. Those pictures don't show it, but they were moving...as soon as I stopped the truck they headed for the bush, some flying.

This would be why Ron will be receiving a MONEY ORDER in the mail this week for my deposit. Checks or debit card = paper trail!  :scared:
