Well, I finally found someone I can point to and say buys, sells and trades a whole lot more bows than I do.  I had two options with my Bocote Dye bow, have Mr. Dye build a lighter set of limbs or sell the bow and buy a Dye that already has a lighter draw weight.

I talked to a fella, Steve Berger in NY, that has had lists of Dye and Silvertip bows advertised for sale for at least a year.  I called and talked to him about one I was interested in.  In the course of our conversation he told me the highest number of bows he ever owned at one time was 500 bows from a large variety of bowyers.  YES, that's right, 500 bows at one time!  He had settled on the Dye and the Silvertips as his favorites.

He suffered a fall a year or so ago and really tore himself up.  He can no longer shoot his 53 to 58# bows.  So, he's selling them off.  Right now he has an order in with Mr. Dye for 2 or 3 new bows, all under 45# draw weight so he can shoot them.
