Sorry no pics, but i always try to build an "A-Frame" blind BEHIND me. similar to the third pic of Deadsmple"s photos.
I had a yearling button buck approach to within 5 feet of me a couple of years ago with that set-up.
I had on blue jeans and a tan jacket.
I know he was young and dumb and I had the wind in my favor, but the background broke up my profile.
He looked at me for several minutes and kept easing closer with his head outstreatched and sniffng. I was frozen and when he got so close, I culdn't contain myself and started to laugh, I couldn't keep it in anymore. He jumped at least 3 feet in the air and switched directions and hauled a**.
I am a firm believer in breaking up your outline behind as much as hiding it from in front. Now besides using natural material behind me I also use a couple of pieces of military surplus camo netting in front of me just to be sure,
