CX Rebel Camo arrows..where 2 begin?
« on: February 20, 2007, 10:27:00 AM »
Over the weekend, a buddy of mine gave me 12 CX Rebel Camo arrows, 30" in length.
I usually shoot 31" but wanna try these with my ChekMate bow.
The bow is 55#@28".
So any suggestions for a starting point for a good hunting arrow combo.....as in tip weight, brass inserts, etc?

Forgot to add, they are 4560's. And they are the Rebel Hunter Camo arrows.

I use those and love them. I have a 27 1/4 draw and shoot 56 -58 lb recurves with them. I make them up two ways, with 225 grains up front and 250 grains.

225 grains: I cut the shaft to 30 inches, 100 grain brass insert and 125 grain tip.

250 grains: I cut the shaft to 27.5 inches, 50 grain brass insert and 200 grain point.

The finished arrows will be at least 0.5 inches longer in total from the back of the nock and end of the insert.
