Well heres my two from last year. Maybe not the biggest compared to some of the whoopers guys have taken on this site, but pretty big for West Virginia and I couldnt be more proud. Both made P&Y

Sorry about the second one i accidently deleted the field pic from photobucket. Hes at the taxadermist now. The top one was taken with a 48 pound kodiak magnum and the second with a 53 pound k mag

Not sure if this constitutes a "big" but it's my best with trad gear. Shot him first day of our Kentucky bow season this past year.  I have several trail cam picts of him and was hoping to get him still in his velvet.  He shed it the day before I shot him for I have picts of him two days before with it in tack. Bow was my SA III Widow with a 4 blade magnus 100 grain head a 3555 Gold tip with a 50 grain brass insert. Hit was high lung at 27 paces. He went about 150 yards.

Also here are a few more I've taken with trad gear.

Ok I am not sure if this is my 1000th post of my 2003 buck or 1001 but what the heck I can't help myself I am still proud of him. Obviously it is the same buck from my avatar. Shot him with a Robertson Vision Falcon an Easton 2117 and a Magnus 125 gr 2 blade. 12 yd shot while he had his head in a mock scrape I made near my treestand.

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

its my biggest to date.  I shot him with a 58# custom recurve that a buddy made me.  It was a four yard shot slightly quartering too.  I hit him in front of the left shoulder and it emptied out in the middle of the right shoulder.  He went about 50 yards and laid down and never got up.

Heck, I'm already wanting to see it again.  Fantastic deer.

This guy is still running around and I have a plan!

My plan on this guy took four years to work. My best buck..152 7/8 PY....shot him in 1990.

My only buck with the recurve but the most memorable animal I ever harvested.  It took me about seven years to get this fellow.
