I need a couple 2020 shafts for footing
« on: July 06, 2008, 12:26:00 AM »
some Beman MFX 500 classics. After going to 4 shops today and striking out I'd thought I'd ask here.
And if you could cut them into 1" lenghts it would be great.

Shoot me a price in a PM if you can help.
 :help:

Thx.

if you get really, really stuck, i've got two 30" shafts i could part with. FYI they're red. i'm in aussie, so you're best to use me as a last resort. good luck. hard to get aren't they.

I understand the idea of footing a carbon shaft with a piece of an aluminum shaft - but - whould like some specifics on doing it. Best case - a picture of a footed carbon shaft is what I want.

Thanks,

MikeW:

The picture helped. How much of the carbon shaft is inside the foot? Did you attach the foot using epoxy? What does the footed arrow weigh?

Thanks

MikeW,
just got done cutting up a bunch for you. I'll post them tomorrow when I go into town.

BTW how did you know that the 2020's will work is there a chart or something available that gives you I.D.'s and O.D.'s of the different aluminums and carbons out there? I was thinking of footing some AD tradlites if I could ever figure out what size alu's will work.
