finishes for snakeskin appliques

how many use tru-oil over snakeskins on fiberglass laminated bows???
what is the procedure????

I use it on my snake skin arrow wraps.

I apply 2 light coats with my fingers.  Let each dry completely before the next coat.  After the initial 2 coats, lightly buff with 0000 steel wool, clean with alcohol to remove any steel wool fibers and dust, and apply the next coat.  Repeat the process until you have the desired finish.  Tim
