There are several for sale in the classifieds. Better hurry though, they never last too long.

They are great bows, I have one 64" silvertip recurve 55#@27" I draw a little past that. Only thing I can say is they truly are shooters.

I am going to order a set of limbs for mine this fall for an Africa trip sometime in the near future. Wish I would have done that in the beginning.

Would post pics but don't know how?? sorry.

Hands down, the best shooting 'curve I've ever owned. Your brother won't be sorry. Here's my go to bow....58", 70@29, Prairie Rattler Skins, antler tips and knobs and Walnut Dymondwood. The wait time is around 12 months last time I talked with Dave. Tell your brother to call Dave or Beth, they're great people to deal with and very helpful.

I have an all ebony 3 pc coming within the next two weeks and can't wait to put up pictures.  Until then, here is a pic of my "beater":

Checkered Riser...get that!

I think the wait right now is 10 months or so.  There is a real nice one in the classifieds right now...right Bob   ;)

Oh, and performance wise they are in the top 10%...the shoot well for most and they "feel" to me (and I have tried a LOT of recurves looking for MY recurve) the best of all.

Gotta have the checkered grip, I forgot to mention that mine is also FF. Had dacron as well, no difference, maybe couple FPS? negligable

Very nice bows, I like the FF option only because for some reason with the dacron bows the string hits my arm. They are great shooters and fairly quick and very quiet. Shawn

can't do pic's right now but silvertip's are the best bow for me. i've tried others and some were great bows but i always go back to the silvertip. time-tested design and customer service/craftsmanship is second to none

bottom line for me is anything inside 30yds doesn't stand a chance w/ the schafer in my hands

Silvertips are the best handling and shooting recurves for me.  I have owned or shot most out there and they suit me best.  They fit the hand well and the checkering option is a good choice. The heavy handle mass seems to make them more stable and the performance is right up there with most good recurves.  Here is my lefty with a new set of 62" 52#@28 FF limbs with zebra lams and horn tips.

Not to hijack the thread, but this seems like a great place to mention I'm always in the market for an original 1 piece, LH of course....      :goldtooth:

Wow, Steve O! Mate, I'm just lovin' my Silvertip; just got back from a happy evening session on my school oval, filling a wrecked volley ball full of holes with blunts...
