Ronp -- only 10 months? Consider yourself lucky!I think the long wait is a plot to increase the demand for Shrews! :p
In fact, Ron's bowyer-artist, Gregg Coffey (Javaman), works a full-time job and builds these masterpieces one at a time at night and weekends, in a home shop that's the antithesis of a "factory." The amazing thing is that we can get them as "fast" as we do. No shortcuts.
The bad news for you, Ronp, is that I got MINE a week ago! I'm withholding my full praise, photos etc. until I've shot another thousand arrows through it (a thousand the first week is "all" my old shoulder could handle at 55/28 ) and I can provide an honest in-depth report. Let me say the wait is worth it and the only thing that keeps me from ordering another and getting back in the long que again is that I don't see how any variation can improve on the one I now own.
My 54" Classic Hunter is simply the most incredibly gorgeous, perfectly designed and built, best (meaning everything a bow should do and be) bow I've owned in 54 years of trad shooting (started at 8; 62 now). Lots of Very Excellent bows out there today, and some shooters may not cotten to sticks this small and light (18ozs). But I do! And Ron ain't kidding when he says you'll need 15-20# overspined arrows for these little rocket launchers ... my 55# shoots darts spined at 70-75#.
Makes me feel young again. Just ask my wife!
