My new bow!
«

My dad, fyrfyter43, recently surprised me with a Black Rhino longbow. He bought it used from someone here on TrandGang. At my draw length of 25.5 inches, the draw weight is about 29-30#.
My dad ordered a new b-50 string from Bobby Graham for me. He also gave me an arm guard from Mike's Archery Leather.
We went to shoot on Sunday. I have a dozen lodgepole pine shafts here to build, but since I haven't started on them yet, I shot a few aluminums that I had for my compound. They're not tuned for my bow, but I think I did OK.

I think the longbow definitely suits him better than the compound.
Shooting the wheeled arrow launcher was just too mechanical for him. He was lucky to hit the bales half the time with his compound...with his longbow, he was breaking balloons nearly every other shot.
