They make more bows than any other firm.
Now do they make a good product ? it depends, I have carried them in my shop without having a lot of major problems. The distributor makes good on most problems.
Except one and that effected me and due to there own mfg problems I no longer carry there products.
The problem was I ordered a Hawkeye bow with two sets of limbs, one set of 50 and one of 45...the bow came with the 50 lbs on it. I shot the bow for about a month and the limbs delaminated. I called the distributor and he said to return the limbs. I did and I had put the 45 lbs limbs on... in less than a week the 45 limbs blew up same problem.
Now all I had a bow handle.
A month went by waiting for limbs, as the mfg was changing from building in Japon to China.
The new limbs arrived and they were left handed, I called and they said send them back, I did a week later another set showed up and guess what they also were left handed limbs. It turned out all in stock were left handed. It took almost 4 months to finally get a set of limbs.
I then cancelled the 2nd set of limbs.
I called the distributor and told them that the problems have made me the end customer not want to stock, or sell any more of the Samick products set.. to long a cycle on problems and not being able to talk to any on, with the MFG in Japon and the product being built in China.
Now I still have the Hawkeye bow with a set of 50 lb limbs on it, so if you hear of anyone selling just a setof RH limbs in the range of 40 to 50 lbs let me know. I sure would like a backup set. The bow itself shoots a good arrow.
