Bushnell Scout Trail Camera
« on: February 21, 2007, 02:45:00 PM »
Has anyone used the Bushnell Scout trail camera? If so, how do they work for night pictures? I;m thinking of getting one, so would like to hear good or bad, from someone who has one.
Thank You.

Sorry, wrong name! It's the Bushnell Sentry trail camera.

Save your money! My buddie has bought two of them and they were both sent back within first week of use. Sales guy at real real big outdoor store told me they send 20-30% of the things back.

I've got the Leaf River IR-3BU,  the DC-2BU,  and the DC-6SS. All are great scouting tools. The 6SS takes awesome quality photos. The 2BU is ok but I get a bluish tint to the pics from it. The IR camera works good but I'm not really fond of IR photos.
All three give good battery life.
Unless you build your own, I feel they are one of the best out there currently. My only complaint about them are the instructions. They might as well say...."Push buttons until it works" In there defense though, I hear they are rewritting them. Aside from setting the clock, the factory default settings are fine for most users.
No matter what type of bow is shot, we're all archers.
