I shoot a Northwind Gem longbow, looks like a very similar profile. Thats what I like, will have to give serious though as to getting a Mohawk.  Mike

I'm thinkin' about one myself. Good lookin' bows for sure. How are they for shooters?

Do a subject search for Mohawk.  Ain't no one yet has complained about Mohawks.  Ultimately yer gonna need to decide for yerself either by shootin' one or takin' a leap o' faith.  In any event, ring up Vince, he may be able to help ya make a decision.

I looked at his website and the throat of his bows seem pretty thin. I have fairly good sized hands. Are those pictures foolin' me, or does the grip take some time to get the feel of it?

The quietest bow I have never heard.  Plenty fast and shock free.
Irish Archer,  I have some very big hands and love the small grip on these longbows.  I am sure Vince could make you a bigger grip if needed, but you might be suprised how well a small grip works imho.

I think it would be hard to find a better d-shaped longbow.  And even harder to find a better guy than Vince.  He is right there at the top of the heap!
It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

Recommended brace is 6 1/2 to 6 3/4.  Vince told me you could take it down to about 6 1/4 if you like to get a little more speed but you'll get a little more noise too.  Mine settled in a touch below 6 1/2.

Nock an arrow on the string, pull the string back a bit, let go of the string.  :D

OK, seriously now ... that's a very subjective question and my answer is easy - it's the best shootin' mild r/d longbow I've ever had the pleasure to pull string on.  How's that?  :D
