Brackenburys, Morrisons, and Blacktails all get my vote for favorite 3 piece recurves. There are a number of other really good ones, but none that I have shot so far that I like as well. Each of the three I listed have different feels, but I like them all very much. I used to exclusively shoot recurves, but after trying several hybrid 3 piece longbows, I find I like them too. The Brackenbury Non-Typical, the Morrison Shawnee, and the ACS CX are at the top of my list of the 3 piece longbows. I just got a Holm-Made two piece longbow from Chad Holm (a TradGang sponser) that is also a top notch bow -- very light, fast, smooth, and accurate. I will be posting pictures and a review of the bow soon. I am impressed!
If you are looking for the smoothest shooting 3 piece recurve I have ever shot, I would have to say it is a Morrison Cheyenne with the foam core, black fiberglass limbs. My Brackenbury Quests are outstanding and really can't be beat overall. Finally, Norm Johnson's Blacktails are probably the prettiest bows made, and they shoot very well too. If I could only own one 3 piece recurve bow for hunting, I would have to pick either a Quest or a Cheyenne. I could not go wrong with either one.
