I feel like a piker here. I only have four in the stable right now: A Bear 76'er, an old fiberglass/aluminum takedown youth bow made for the Boy Scouts, and two 35# Brownings, a Prep and a Rover. My hunting bows were traded away a few years ago when arthritis made it impossible for me to hunt any more. Gone are my Damon Howatt Hunter, Kodiak Hunter, and Browning Nomad. I have owned longbows in the far distant past, and would like to find another one to relive youthful flatbow pleasures; but at the prices charged for simple bows these days, it's hard for a retired guy on short rations to justify the expense. I haunt yard sales, looking for an old flatbow to refurbish. Can't pull much more than a 35 pounder these days, so my hopes are slim and none on finding such. Still, it gives me something to wish for.
