black widow with built-in overdraw

I once saw an old Black Widow all-black takedown recurve with a built-in overdraw and was curious if anyone has some insight on this bow. The overdraw was actually a permanent part of the riser. I do know that this bow was from the Wilson Brothers era. Does anyone know when these were made, how many, value, etc. I'm guessing that the bow I saw was pretty rare, but I could be wrong.

You might try going to the Black Widow website and ask in their forum. There is someone there who can answer your questions.

You might be thinking of the HF1225. All black, metal riser drilled for a raised rest and Berger Button. Called the "H frame", I have one 64", #50 @ 28", extra limbs 64", #60@ 28". Bought mine around '77. Still shooting it today. Don't know the value.

Wayne,
Could you post some pictures of your bow for us?
I would like to see them.

Tim,
Would love to but it would be the weekend before I could. I'm working "on the road" right now. I'll try to find some on the web.

Tim,
There's an HF1200 on ****. This is a few years prior to mine but quite similar.

There is one with the grip part of the riser that was set a few inches in front of the riser.
i had one a few years ago, and traded it to a gent in mi.
i don,t thank they are that rare as i saw one for sale not long a go.
