Rookie gets his bow...
« on: July 23, 2008, 08:09:00 PM »
Well my first bow arrived on Friday and I had a chance to shoot it a little on Sat.  Hopefully I will be able to go back to the range and shoot some more on Friday morning.  Ok back to the bow.

It is a Horne's 3-piece Brush Bow.  Riser is Bubinga and Osage Orange.  Limbs are Tonkin Bamboo veneers over Tonkin Bamboo cores.  Workmanship is tops and I'm fortunate to be able to learn on such a fine piece of gear.  Here's a few pics:

Beautiful bow Alan, what are her specs? Length? Weight?
I am thinking about a Horne's bush bow myself!
Enjoy!

Congrats!! That is some beginner bow right there. I had 2 Brushbows and presently shoot a Horne's Traditionalist. Mark knows his bow making stuff for sure. The Horne's are great folks. Good Luck "learning" with her and good hunting.

That is a heck of a first bow.  Be warned, it won't be your last.

I'm jealous!  I have had many, many bows and still most of mine aren't that nice.  Congratulations.  Those are some nice specs too.
