My son is 6 yrs old and wants a bigger bow but I don't want to plunk down a lot of money and he lose interest. We all know how kids attention spans are, but he seems to really enjoy it. Especially when we both shoot. I've never shot trad till this year only compound and he would get frustrated when I got it out to shoot. Must be a sure sign of a trditional archer. I'm haveing a bow made for me so I can keep down any arguments with my son.

Check out Mike Mecredy's MadDog bows - his Pup series are just for kids. I have no experience with them myself, but lots of folks recommend them here.
You can also check out Black Rhino bows. I recently bought one for my son, and am very happy with it.
I know it's tough to spend the money and hope he doesn't lose interest. But without decent equipment, it's a sure thing that he will lose interest.

I can second the Black Rhino. Chuck is also very good at matching the bow to the shooter and offers a buy back program when its time to move up.
