Do you want to see what fun is?
« on: July 27, 2008, 03:39:00 AM »
Here is the first time I've shown the kids how to shoot a bow.  I'm going to get them into it fully very soon.  This was a blast!!!

I absolutely love the looks on their faces.

There was a time not long ago where my mind was in a very bad place and I didn't want to fight any longer...LOOK WHAT I WOULD HAVE MISSED!!!

Oliver,

Had my two plus some of their cousins and friends out shooting yesterday, nothing like it. Heck, I even got my sister-in-law shooting!

Sometimes life is tough, but it is worth it for even a few moments with the kids or other loved ones.

I agree with those above, well done and I'm sure they love their daddy!

Stay with it,
-Charlie

Keep these photos someplace where you can see them every day. When times get tough, and they do from time to time, just one look at those happy faces will make troubles melt away. You are a very fortunate man to have such wonderful kids, and they are lucky to have a dad who shares things with them.

Your great pictures brought back a memory from long ago.

I had an uncle who lived a reclusive life in a small apartment in Chicago, never married, and without a doubt the most brilliant man I have ever met.

When my granddaughter was 4 or 5, I had my wife take a picture just like yours of her first archery experience. I was helping her draw and shoot her first selfbow, the picture was precious.

I wrote a letter to my uncle and included the picture, I was so proud of my new granddaughter's enthusiasm for archery.

He died abut 6 years ago, after all these years the letter I sent and the picture of my granddaughter were propped up on a night stand right next to his recliner. He treasured them enough to keep them by his side.

Send your wonderful pictures to everyone you can think of Josh. They will treasure them much more than you could possibly imagine.

Terrific pictures! It does my heart good to see another corner of the world lit up with goodness like this. Keep on keepin' on!

Thanks for all the kind words...when I started shooting I learned it all on my own.  They are hopefully going to be much better off.

It is a lot of fun and the coming years are only going to get better.

I need to get them some youth bows and soon!!
