Osage risers??
« on: July 27, 2008, 09:39:00 PM »
Greetings All,

Am thinking of trying an osage riser in a bow but was wanting to see a few pics with different limb combos.

If you could please post pics it would be greatly appreciated.

Happy hunting, Jason

The back one is 2 or more years old, the one in the front is younger, and has seen less use.

Lewis, every time I see that bow I fall more in love.  That is just pure beauty.

Another Osage/Cocobolo combo. I built this bow in 2006 for a SD mule deer hunt. It's a take-down longbow.

As far as the limbs I used ationboo and stained it the color that I thoubht the osage would be after it aged some. This one has an ebony stripe with smaller bubinga stripes. A two wood wedge of ebony and bubinga.

Here is my zipper extreme.  Osage, black walnut, and phenolic in the riser.  Walnut limbs.

Beautiful bow, Stoney.  I love the contrast between the osage and the walnut.

The quiver really puts it over the top!  How did you/they do that?
