Plaid wool hats
« on: August 02, 2008, 02:22:00 PM »
I'm starting this thread to see what kinds of plaid wool hats can be had, if you can post a photo and type and were you bought it from. I would like to have a full plaid outfit that would include a nice wool hat in browns and greens so the turkeys wont spot me either. I would like to go camo less this fall when I can, I'll start out with the hat I have It is an older filson bucket hat I bought second hand, I don't believe that they make them in plaid anymore, what a shame.

Grey Wolf Woolens makes a hat like that out of any of their fabrics and patterns. so plaid would be doable.

I was just at the Johnson Woolen Mill in Johnson Vt.  They have lots of stuff at the show room and lots of hats.  Not all of it was their own product and they had lots of Pendelton and some limited Filson.  Check to see if there is a web site or ask for their catalogue.  They definately had plaid woolen hats of various designs.

When I get home a will post a pic of my dad's hat that I came across the other day. It's not wool but it looks like it and it is plaid.
