tuning- quiver on/off

does any one experience any difference in tuning between quiver on and quiver off? i'm expecting a new bow soon but it will arrive before the quiver does. am i wasting time and possibly arrows if i tune the bow without the quiver on?

$.02 worth - it has been my experience that bows need to be tuned as they will be shot.

yes it's probably wiser to to wait till i have the quiver. less haste, more speed. but it's a new toy!!

Another $.02 worth - tuning and shooting a new toy are different events. In fact, shooting a variety of "whatever you got" right now might well give you a good idea for where to start with the tuning.

Just shoot it, have fun and learn how it shoots for you and worry about tuning it after you get the quiver.

It does make a pretty big diffrence if you are bare shaft tuneing, usually a quiver will reduce needed spine, on my recurves usually by about 5lbs of wood spine.. but if ya broad head tune you may not see a diffrence, and usually the heavier the quiver/arrows the more diffrence you will see.

If it is a strap-on mount it right on the riser if you can, that will minimize the effect. Or at least get the straps as close to the riser as possible.
Even when mounted on the riser your set up likely will require retuning.
