« on: August 06, 2008, 11:10:00 AM »
I'm looking for advice on broadhead and field point combinations..shooting Pronghorn longbow 62" 57#@28"..Heritage 250 / 30" arrows..I'm looking for a good insert, broadhead,(with broadhead adaptor) that I can match up with a insert/fieldpoint.. what combinations do you use ? Heritage 250 at 11 grains/inch X 30"...I'm assuming I need 200gr. plus up front ? THANKS; Doug

200+ grains up front would be easy to get with about any combo. Steel adapters come in 75, 100, 125 grains.

Justs pick the broadhead in a weight you want... Magnus about covers the full range of weight.

Bare shaft tune your set up with field points first before picking a broadhead and spending the money... just to make sure you get the right head.

I shoot carbonwood 4000 shafts and have 35 grain insert in the shaft, a 125 grain adapter in the 150 grain broadhead.
Your needs may be quite different.
