A bit of trad wisdom from my stick & string partners, please. I just bought another Widow to add to the arsenal. My SAII shoots darts at 51lbs.
I bought a MAII to get a little more "umph" and I am taking my newest Widow to Montana for antelope next week. It is 54lbs @ 28" and I draw 28 1/2.
I have 4 choices of arrows...(1) 30" CX Heritage 150's (2) 30" CX Heritage 250's (3) 29 3/4" Beman Black Max 400's (4) 29 1/2" GT XT 55/75's
If you were me, which would serve you better from the MAII and how much weight up front?? (I will be using old Bear razorheads...broadheads + adaptors = 152 grains)
I am interested in all opinions...as a high school teacher, I am most certainly not opposed to learning!!
ALSO...I fletched the arrows with 2 left wing wild turkey primaries and a cock feather from the primaries from a Canadian goose. The goose feather seems a bit softer than the turkey feathers. If this is really so, could this hamper accurate flight. Thank you for your help and interest. Cotton
