KME sharpening angle revealed
« on: August 09, 2008, 09:06:00 PM »
There seems to be a litte bit of interest in the KME sharpening angle.

I PMed Ron a while back and this was his answer.

"Thanks for the interest. The broadhead sharpener sharpens at around 23-30 degrees depending on the width of the broadhead. Very wide heads like Ace or Magnus II sharpen at lower angles than narrow heads like Grizzlies or Tusker Concords.

I like the steeper angles for a couple of reasons...first, the steeper the angle, the more durable the finished cutting edge will be, and second, sharpening at higher angles removes far less steel than sharpening at low angles does."
Silence over speed.  Heavier arrows never hurt.
