Here is (I hope) a working direct link to that quiver...

I made a couple of slight mods to it yesterday. I'm really liking it.

Yeah Dick,
I had seen that not long ago and really liked it. I'm planning on making one soon. Wish I had a buckle like yours. Nicely done, thanks.

I found a pattern very similar to the one at Howardhillshooters.com (try a google search). Anyway, start with that and make a pattern first out of paper. That way you can smooth the edges, make sure the belt loop is big/small enough, etc. Here is a pic of the one I made.

I make my side quivers also, have for 20+ years. I suggest you make it a little longer like Dick's especially if you have long arrows. The amount of arrows carried can be increased by making the arrow pouch piece that folds over bigger. This also helps with fat wood arrows.
Making your own is a great way to expand your archery experience. Oh yes, you will not stop at one quiver. They may last forever but there is always a way to improve the one you just finished.

I was thinking of the kind that you carry over shoulder. looks kinda like a back quiver but there's a large hole in the side that you pull the arrows out through..

I built one very similar to that about 2 years ago. I didn't use heavy enough leather so it would buckle a bit in the middle. It was a pretty simple build, used leather boot laces to "stich" it together. If I did another I would get some fairly thick construction paper and play with a pattern.

Make your own pattern out of poster board. You can add more where needed or remove some from where you don't need it, you can tell how it hangs and where the correct placement of the shoulder strap so it does hang right. Once you get the design you want and all the bugs worked out you have your own pattern. I use scotch tape or a stapler as I'm making a pattern. Pat
