Fedora 560 new to me
« on: August 16, 2008, 01:49:00 PM »
Greetings folks.  Don't post here much really if in fact any at all.  Not anti social just don't have much to contribute til now.  This is in regards to a Fedora 560 60" one piece I bought used off this forum from Chris Schwandt from Wisc.  First of all a very honest person and a very fast shipper.

That being said I am mostly a longbow person but have dallied over the past 38 years with recurves and some self bows etc.  Well rec. this Fedora today and have had it a grand total of about 2hours.  Didn't do anything but string it up, lowered the nock point and put on a new strike plate and shot it with judo's in my backyard.  Bottom line is the bow is very very quiet shooting, very fast and I mean noticeably so, comfortable to hold and most important of all hits where I am looking and is probably the smoothest drawing moderate weight trad bow I have ever had the opportunity to shoot.  It is 64#@28" and feels to me like a mid to upper 50lb bow for drawing smoothness.  Basic black glass and "special core" and stained ash riser.  Tiny tips, thumb rest and a grip that seems like it was made for me.  Anyways stoked once again about hittin the woods this fall.  keepem sharp and thanks

I'll try and figure out how to post a pic of it.  Pretty plain basic bow really, black glass, special core, dyed ash riser, thumb rest and the small tips.  What do you use for a b.h. on yours?  Have to order a couple of strings for it and will use a flemish as an endless is on it now.  Anyways will try and get a pic up of it.  keepem sharp
