Stick Bows vrs. Compound//// Seriously

I've been reading a book by Bernie Pellerite. In his book he mentions compound shooters as well as recurve shooters should keep the (bow arm) shoulder low/ rotated and tucked into the socket....
Does this apply to bare bow shooter like us, or just olympic shooters? Very curious...
I've always just held my shoulder at a natural position...
Very curious to hear from you guys who shoot well...

I believe Fred Asbell speaks of keeping the shoulder low as well and he's not an olympic shooter. Good form is good form.

My understanding is that bone on bone is more solid than relying on muscles. I am, however, not even close to being an expert.
