I'm glad to hear you were not injured. And man, I'm really sorry to hear your frustrating story. :( I believe everything happens for a reason, so maybe the bow you find to replace this one will be even better and/or exceptionally lucky for you. Hard to think about that just yet though, I know.

So sorry!
If the limbs are still intact you could make a new riser yourself!
Thats what I did with some A.S. Limbs...worked out real good!

Rather than "....a moment of silence, and a day of mourning" I say Praise the Lord. JD is getting the bow back to Oregon Bill in near record time and at a very good price. Let's not mourn, let's praise! Amen!!??

Hope that you are ok! My wife and I had 2 brand new Navajo Scouts break at the handle within 2 weeks of each other with no dry fires. Sometimes it just happens. Roy Hall said that he had a bad batch of wood and he made us 2 new ones within a month.

Bill glad your gettin your bow fixed man I figured JD would give you a good price for the new riser, and didnt mean to strike your nerve heydeerman, I was just sayin its not always the owner of the bows fault when it breaks, usually is but not always.

Guys: JD tweaked the limbs, built me a new riser and got it all in the mail Express before he left for elk season. I gotta say I can't recall this kind of customer service, ever. I'll post a photo of my nice new riser ASAP. For those whose seasons open this weekend, good luck guys and gals.

Oregon Bill, Be sure to take care of the bowyer on this deal. He went way above and beyond what he was required to do. The dry fire was your fault and he took the time to make it right in record time. It wouldn't hurt to throw a little extra cash his way to say thanks for helping you out. I just know what a big pain in the a#$ it is to make a bow and just want to see JD taken care of on this deal. I've read posts about him where he was really drug through the mud on here and the other site. Mike

That sucks cojones! Send 'em the limbs and they'll make you another riser no prob.....maybe call first and tell them what happened. Price might come down too. Bob Lee did that for me.
