Nock heighth and spine

While bare shaft tunning some arrows I noticed something differnt. My arrow's where flying nock left (weak) and high. I made adjustments and got them flying perfectly straight, but nock high. As I lowered my nock they started showing weak spine again. The lower the nock came down the farther to the left the nock would fly. Is this because the force of the bow is now in more of a direct line with the arrow ?  :confused:

Yes,  this also tells me that you are going to have a hard time getting them to fly good with broadheads on them.  When you are close to the right spine it's always good to arror on the stiff side vs the light side.

it is kind of good to err on the stiff side.

but while bareshafting you have to take into account the fact that with fletching on the shafts they will stiffen up a little.

and with a broadhead they will weaken bc the BH is longer than the field points

Harmless, you're right. You should always set the nocking point first for that reason. When you get it right, there is more energy transferred to the arrow.
