4 fletch

I was thinking about trying four 4" fletched arrows.  I've never fletched an arrow that way but I'm currently out of 5" feathers and have some 4" left over from my compound days.  

Anyone tried this and stayed with four 4” feathers over three 5” feathers.  I shot with a person this weekend that shot four 4” feathers and liked his results.  

Just wondering, if so does it matter if they're 90 degrees or 120 degrees?

Just about a year ago, I made the switch from 3x5 to 4x4. Less cost for equal flight characteristics. Never going back...

I have gone from three five inch to four four inch at 90 degrees, and love them. Just make sure that you have as much helical as you can get.

I was just switching some 4 (60X120) arrows back to 3 fletch tonight.

I liked the idea of getting 2 4" cuts from a full length feather and made up several 4 fletched arrows last year.

They look fine, I just don't like how they're flying.  They fly "dead" for me.  They don't seem to have the rotation that my 5" 3 fletch gets (like throwing a football without any spin on it ... even though they're full helical).

Anyhow, going back to 3 fletch.

I've been shooting 4 4" feathers for several years now. Fletched at 90 degrees, they work great.

I've been shooting 4 4".  Doesn't really matter what way you fletch 'em... I like the 60x120.

Yup I shoot 4 5" parabolics and love the results.  I fletch them 90 degrees with a slight left helical.

I shoot 5" 4fletch, and they shoot nice.

I really like 4 4" fletched @ 90 degrees.  They fly great, and are nice and quiet.  Plus they are very visible in flight.

4X4" for me! I love being able to reach to the bow quiver and throw and arrow on the string without having to take my eyes off the game. Idiot Proof!

I have found that with 4 fletch, I can slap any broadhead I want onto an arrow, and they fly fine. When I was shooting 3X5" I had trouble with 2 blade heads.

I've uses 4-fletch successfully for a number of years, but when I used them with my new Tomahawk, the lower left feather catches the knuckle of my bowhand index finger....after a half dozen shots it's ouch, and a drop of blood!

I have been shooting 4X5" parabolics off and on for years.  They just fly perfect........

Hi Josh,That Rinehart 100 was a blast (your arrows were flying good enough to shoot an apple off that deers nose lol).The fletch i was shooting was 75/105. But i have shot some 60/120 four fletch and i think i like them better but the feathers get very close on a axis shaft.I have some 500 axis fletched up if you can make the shoot next weekend i can bring them .Chad
