Hey all,

I just refinished a Shakespere Necedah 55 lb @28".  I had purchased off of Feebay and it was a little "rougher" than the seller positioned.

I stripped the original varnish, sanded, and finished with Tru-oil and it came our pretty good.

I have been shooting it and it shoots sweet  :)

So sweet actually that I'm considering taking it hunting with me for elk in about a month.

I've been poking around for a quiver online and the quivers seem to go for more than what I paid for the bow.  I'm on a tight budget now so can't afford to spend $70+ on a quiver for a backup bow.

I was wondering if anyone has built a quiver or could point me in a direction to find a cheap one out there.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cut a leg off an old pair of jeans. Cut a long strip out of the other. Sew the leg part closed at the bottom. Sew the strip on for a strap. Wala instant quiver.

Scott, you can give me a call if you want. We have some bow quivers that are discontinued  or are slightly impaired. I might be able to find something in the pile that you could use at your price.

Thanks guys...

One question above - what type of quiver...I should have been more specific - bow quiver to hold broadheads - 3 or 4 arrows I guess.

I like the old jeans idea, but wondering about broadhead "penetration" through them.

I'll ping 2fletch to see if he has anything I could use as well.

Any more ideas or build-alongs anyone could point me to would be appreciated.

I have a Kwikee bow quiver if you haven't found one yet. It's the type that fastens to the limbs. It holds 4 arrows and the hood clips to the fourth arrow. May get you out of a bind. It's yours if you want it. good luck, John
