Removing Limbsations
« on: August 22, 2008, 10:06:00 PM »
Anyone ever removed the Limbsations skins from their bows? If you have does it leave a residue on the limb? How do you get it off without damaging the finish? Thanks in advance

If the residue is just typical decal adhesive, WD40 should clean it off without harming the bows finish.

Warm the skin first... hot water or hair dryer. They should peel off easilly.

Any residue can be removed with, rubbing alcohol, or even paste wax. If there is a lot of residue, the WD40 trick works well...I've never seen it hurt a bow's finish.

A trick I learned while cleaning my Harley of road grime, works on guitars too,,,,baby oil, put on a rag wipe down then wipe off with alcohol and a clean rag. Re-wax if you want to. It works.wont hurt finish either.
