I had some busted up cedars with perfectly good flethes on them, and I have been experimenting with 2 fletches and found when using fletch tape, you can actually remove and re-use your feathers on another shaft
with a tiny bit of patience and a small razor-knife, you can insert the blade between the fletch and shaft about a half inch from the end and peel up the end, then pull the whole feather off. Put it in a clamp and use knife to get between tape and quill, get one end up then slowly peel off. Apply new tape and "poof" good fletch.
