So opening day everything was perfect I was on top of the mtn above a nice 3x2 in velvet. Watched him feed for 1 hour or so. Final he started for bed but instead of coming up the mtn he went into a nasty draw. By the time I got on him it was a bighorn shot straight down. Well I mmmmmissed. He jumped up the draw a few yards and was looking for what made the noise. Looking across it looked close enough but it was an illusion of the steeeeep draw. My second arrow fell harmles yds below him he just look at the arrow and walk off. But it was a great day in the field my scouting paided off now I just have to make the shot.
On another note this is what we are looking for boys and girls. Alive of course would be nice!
This mature guy must have fought hard for his right to pass on his genetic materal see the 2 broken tines. 21 across and 19 tall from the base of his skull good mass dont know how to measure. Would have liked to of found him last year. Hopefully he passed on his good genes to some bucks on the mtn
Probably the 40below weather in Jan got him after a tuff breeding season.
