I built the 68" pronounced LB from Bingham in Jan. this year.  I had one set of limb lams slip a little, and as a result, I had to trim both limbs down from 1 1/2" to 1 3/8" width.  It dropped the weight to 32#.  My wife who is an excellent BB shooter, grabbed the bow, said it was the smoothest most accurate LB she has shot.  Then I built myself another one, with 64" pronounced limbs 38# @ my 26.5" draw.  What a nice shooter. I am laying up a heavier set of 68" limbs right now for myself, and cutting/sanding 2 more risers. Great fun. Bill G.

Lookin good Bill! Did ya use the same form for 64 and 68 limbs? Hows the speed seem compared to other bows?

Anybody else got any input? All appreciated!

Yes, on Bingham advice, I moved the root pin (on the limb press) two inches towards the tip end, and cut 2" off the lam stack, then laid it up.  This shortened the total bow length to 64".  I put the limbs on a recurve riser I had 16" Chiron Nighthawk.  It shoots 175fps at 10gp#. Not too shabby, but not my fastest bow either. Smooth shooting. I'll put them on my riser when I finish another one. Bill

This is perfect timing! I just glued up my limbs for my Bingham T/D longbow. I'm waiting on my riser blocks from fedora. Going to do the accented riser jig thing. Riser is going to be grey and brown action wood with black limbs much like the pic above.

I'm looking forward to getting mine done!

I don't know, the 68" TD pronounced LB is 9.5-10" , I have other 64" LBs, I shoot at 7.5", I'm shooting the 64" TD limbs on the recurve riser at 8", seems best for being quiet and no handshock.  I cut wedges for the limbs to mate to the recurve riser, because the angle was wrong. I would look at 7.5-8" somewhere, depending on performance. I also shoot a 66" Vision, a 62" Savannah, a 64" Chaparral Kaibab, and a 64" Samick Verna LB. All are in the 7.25 to 8.25" range. All are one piece except my homebuilts.  Bill

Here's my first, 54#@ 28 shoots like a dream, angles are 11 degrees with 8 1/2" wedges.

and #2 is 58@28, and shoots just as well.

Both are 66" smooth, stable and fast with not a hint of shock..............Steve

PS,Good luck on the wait, headed into our fourth week ourselves, may get cancelled today. Are there any sponsers that sell riser wood?

Got my limbs roughed in but I'm still waiting on my riser woods from Fedora. Still trying to get my cutting and sanding jigs done too.

Kenny, that wood is Pao Ferro and is the other end of the piece I made the riser with, kind of a before and after, and yes those are stone points, gonna turn them into arrows soon.

Not a bit, but I didn't like the satin finish so I took it off and put on a super deep gloss, it looks a lot better now, really brought out the beauty of this wood,I wish I had more, only bought 2 sticks, and the other stick looks better than this.
