Moose Setup
« on: August 31, 2008, 12:55:00 PM »
Ill be using my new to me Zipper Extreme 51#@28" drawing close to 30" with 715 grain ash arrows and a 2 blade Ace on my moose hunt this year. What have you all used for moose? I have 100% confidence in my setup but was just curious to see what others have used.
                             Thanks,Izzy

61lb Jefferies Recurve with Grizzly Stik Alaskans topped with 190grain Grizzly broadheads with 125 grain inserts.

I am changing my arrow setup to Carbon Heritage express 350's as I find the Grizzlystiks not very durable at all and I like stump shooting!

I shot my bull with a home-made recurve and a 500-grain (499 actually) going 194 fps. With a 125-rain Ace Standard up front, I blew right through him. No problem at all.
