Score this!
« on: September 01, 2008, 09:00:00 PM »
I put this picture on the trail cam post, but wanted to make sure people had a chance to see this... Any guesses on the score?  He's got 15 scorable points, and another picture we have shows what may be 3 more stickers coming off the bases.  My guess is mid 170's, but a buddy of mine guesses higher yet.  Not real wide, but tall and junk!

Anyone else care to take a guess?  I'll let you know what he grosses out when he's in the back of my pickup.  (in other words, we'll probably never know!)

Nice mature deer. I'd say six years old with a big ol' pot belly and loose skin look. A true trophy.

Looks like 145-155 depending on his mass. He's a good 'un. Gotta love them "junk" bucks.

I thinking 140-145 non-typ. Yet it is just a crap shoot to guess on these pictures.

The challenges are IMO
*  Cannot judge mass or tine length very well due to velvet
* Tine length doesn't appear that long
*  There are lots of points, but many short ones don't add up fast
* Cannot see the length of the main beam very well

Yet all-and-all nice buck.  Go get him and tell us all.

Hard to tell from pictures in velvet but he isn't anywhere near 170.
*Not enough spread
*tines too short
*mainbeam looks short

I would say 140-155. Great buck.
Good luck!
Bob

I would have to agree with Bob 140-155. Velvet makes em look bigger and there will be deductions from non symetrical tines. Very nice buck though.
