Everyone must be out hunting. Unfortunately, I have time to post. Wish I were out there, also.
Anyway here is a pic or two of my Kota Prairie Swift recurve. Stats- 55@28,60". The bow was bought from stock on hand, but it fit me very well. I really like the shape of the grip. I did change the rest to seal skin. Seems faster (with the same arrows) than my 60# recurve or my 60#longbow. I think the limbs are bamboo.

We have 2 in the family.  48#@28" not sure of woods.

The bow on top belongs to my little guy.  Got shut in the garage door and twisted a bit.  But it is still alive.

How did I miss this post the first time around...probably didn't pick a spot!  :readit:   I'm picking a spot now.

Inhimwelive...what wood is that in the bow?  Like the dark color.

Katie...after seeing your bow I'm even more excited for my next Kill-um (currently on order, come on December!!!).  Curly/Spalted Myrtle limbs with bamboo cores and a Cocobolo handle with Pronghorn antelope tips, even going to have a dark flare, either Ebony or Wrenge.  Your bow is beautiful.

Gee I'll play along.

Kota Kill-um Bocote and Birds-eye Maple!

My favorite photo of the bow, the day it arrived with my son

I just bought this Prairie Nomad from jwingman:

I've only shot recurves until now. Wasn't sure about shooting a long bow, but this Kota has won me over! It is 64", 52# @ 28", and is smooth as can be with no hand shock. I've adapted to it just fine. What's really nice is that I can swap between it and my Pittsley Predator without having to spend any time re-adjusting! I just start laying 'em in there!

Josh,

I really like it. A smooth shooter and a good looker to boot! The grip fits well, which might be part of why I can switch back and forth with my Predator without a problem. Seems to be pretty quick, too.

I did get the case. Jim did a nice job on it.

I second that.  Tim is a good guy.  If you are not interested in a bow, check out the website for the hunting pics.  Man Kota bows have taken some big boys.
