Morrison & 300 Extreme - take bear - pics
« on: September 03, 2008, 01:16:00 PM »

Just returned from bear hunt up in Thunder Bay Ont. with my son. Plan was for son to take bear with long bow but he missed his first shot. Rest of bears came in at last light and he was not comfortable shooting so dad took over. The 300 Xtreme mated to a 500gr grizzly stick did the job just fine as you can see. The Xtreme penerated and split a rib and then right through opposite shoulder for a complete pass through. All made possible of course with the 64# Morrison Shawnee.  It was a great hunt and Gray will keep working on his low light shooting and do it for sure next year.

Limbow,

Bob Morrison is getting a shipment this week of 75 or so, as of yesterday he had 50 something sold. Call him soon if you want to try one. Another run will be in works soon as most of first run are gone. I used them on hogs back in Feb and now the bear. It is an awesome head that is super easy to sharpen on a file. The head used on the bear was still shaving sharp after shot. I doubt there is a stronger three blade out there. The ones I have been using are from first batch of prototypes.

Congrads Dave on your bear, Gray is showing real good ehtics at 14, Not taking  a shot that wasn't comfortable for him, the boy has some class... In a couple years your going to have some stiff competion and a great hunting companion.

Nice job Dave!!

Can't wait to get out there with my new Shawnee!!

Tell Gray that his time will come. I'm impressed with the decision he made not to shoot. Very ethical son you have there.
