BE CAREFUL W/THOSE BROADHEADS Was messing with some 125 gr. Snuffers today sticking a 100 gr. steel insert in one while insert was screwed into the shaft well somehow my hand slipped and ran the snuffer about 3/4-1 in. down in the meaty part of my thumb hitting the bone...I can now testify to how big a hole a snuffer can make, got lucky and missed the artery and main nerve in my thumb but it sure did mess it up, have some superficial nerve damage that doc said may totally heal or might end up with a little numbness in the pad of my thumb...Im always super careful when messing w/broadheads but it only takes a split second and your hurt really bad or worse, nobody was home when I done it so if Id hit a main artery I might not be typing this... So please everybody stay vigilant about safety with these things..cant post pics as Ive got a pressure bandage on it to keep it from bleeding inside the wound and causing bruising, but it looks like when you shoot a deer with one.LOL  :knothead:

Hope all turns out well. If anything it's a good reminder.

That is scary. Hope all turns out OK.
I am always "on guard" whenever I work with broadheads, but things can go wrong in a spit second.

Thanks for the heads up.

Also take the dog out of the room. My nephew was seeing if his sharpening job would shave arm hair.  While setting in a chair shaving his left arm the lab "bumped" his right arm.  7 sticthes later.....

A shiver ran down my spine and after a few minutes I realized the pain in my jaws was from clenching my teeth.  YIKES!  That hurt me just thinking about it.  Glad your O.K.
