660 grains of Hog Trouble
« on: September 06, 2008, 06:29:00 PM »
I just got some of new AD Hammer Heads from Rapture Archery and I just finished putting of few together for Hog hunting.

29.5" BOP, 5" Shields, Nock adapter,100 grain brass insert, and a shaving sharp WW for a total of 660 grains. That gives me 12.2 grains per # for my 54# bow.

They feel like baseball bats! I think some hogs are about to be in some dip doo doo.

This is my first time using arrow wraps and fletch tape also. Not sure if I like them or not yet. The tape sure is fast but it kind of takes all the fun and reward out of painting and gluing a dozen arrows up.

Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.
